Newest demands for CE-marking of steel and aluminum constructions
After July 1st 2014, all steel and aluminum constructions must be CE Marked according to the standard in tender documents and specifications of requirements when they are delivered by manufacturers and suppliers from the building and construction industry. The premise of getting your products CE Marked is to be certified in regards to the terms of DS/EN 1090-1 as a notified certifying body.
Execution of steel and aluminum constructions
DS/EN 1090 is the standard of execution for steel and aluminum constructions. The first part concerns general rules and rules for building constructions. DS/EN 1090-1 is thus a harmonized standard that must underlie the conformity assessment for steel constructions under the Regulation of Construction Products (earlier called Directive of Construction Products) 305/2011. The standard functions as a natural extension of the manufacturer standard EN 1090-2. This is already a standard for steel constructions in Eurocode 3.
